Choosing the right wedding photographer is an essential aspect of your wedding plans. The venue and surroundings have probably been photographed many many times, but your wedding is unique to you and only an experienced photographer can capture it in a professional, unique and unobtrusive way. Yor wedding pictures will become a treasured memory of the day for many years to come, both for you and your family, so we make sure that we capture the key events, such as arrival at the church, signing of the resgister and the first dance, along with those unexpected and emotional snapshots in time which unfold throughout the day.
We usually take a wide range of photographs, these include typically posed wedding pictures including the bride, groom and various family and friends. We also take many in which our subjects are non-aware, these are arguably the most powerful images, they come from the unscripted moments and we always try to capture the relationships between you and your friends and family.
Contemporary wedding photography consists of different techniques and approaches. The documentary or photojournalistic style is used for the bride and groom in preparation, the ceremony and the signing of the register. For this, we use a combination of unposed and camera-aware techniques. Immediately after the marriage ceremony, there is a time of emotion and expression, which calls for a reportage approach to the photography. There is no intervention by us and, although the subjects may well be aware of the presence of the camera, they are generally oblivious to it. Our goal is to capture all of the excitement and expression as close friends and relatives congratulate the newly married couple.
The family group photographs and a group shot of all the guests require more posed direction. While still an important part of the album, the set-up groups are, these days, the least popular part of the wedding photography for the couple and guests. We make every effort to take them quickly and professionally and the experience to be as enjoyable as it possibly can be for everyone involved. Finally, we photograph the couple alone. For the short period of time, usually no more than 30 minutes, that we are alone with the couple, there is more direction and control, but above all we try to make it fun for the couple. This broad range of styles combine to create a contemporary, stylish and complete story of the wedding day. Each wedding is different and brings its own challenges, the sign of a good wedding photographer is to take those challenges and turn them into fantastic images which last a lifetime.
Location will depend on your requirements and sometimes also the comfort of your child. Children will generally be most comfortable in your own home, or perhaps a place in which they already spend a lot of time, such as a park, your backyard, the beach. Timing is very important for infants. You should try to scheduling a time when they are most comfortable and alert. Avoid scheduling during nap or feeding time. Bring a few outfits if you desire. Feel free to bring props such as fun hats, umbrellas or child’s favourite toy for a truly personal image. Smaller children usually photograph best in simple and soft colours. However, a baby without clothing is also a classic look. Personalise your portrait with a personal location
